Former private yacht of Marshal Tito of Yugoslavia, M/Y Jadran worked the waters of the Red Sea from 1990 - 1997. Bringing hundreds of Red Sea divers dream liveaboard holidays in the northern & southern Red Sea; managed and owned by Danny and Amir Hermon the Jadran was one of the first Red Sea liveaboards on the scene.

This site is designed as a stroll down memory lane for guests and crew alike, so please feel free to drop a line on the message board or send in some photos or video.

M/Y Jadran back in the day

The Jadran would spend all the summer months working from, Sharm el Sheikh, Hurghada and Safaga. Unlike the liveaboards that ply the waters of the Red Sea today M/Y Jadran was owned and run by a familly, with a crew varying in nationality from the uk to South Africa.

In those days a deck hand was a deep diver, anchorman, tender driver, second skipper (sometimes captain when Danny had a good film to watch!!), commpressor maintenance man, washer up boy, well you get the picture!

Nowdays the crews on modern liveaboards complain about a few dives a day, back in those days you used to do dives for anchors morning and night, fill the tanks wash up fix the compressor and still have tie to shoot fish!!; The Jadran was run as one big familly though and it was like being at home, not at work.
